This course introduces concepts in user experience (UX) writing and microconent, and the implications for localization. It explores intersections between UX writing and localisation, and outlines how UX personas can facilitate understanding of target audiences. It explores standards and style guidelines, and concludes by examining some skills needed for localisation of UX text.

Students will explore microcontent and UX writing, two crucial aspects of user experience (UX) design. They will use design thinking, and develop user persona. The curriculum also addresses the intersection of UX writing with localization, emphasizing linguistic, cultural, and technological considerations. Through the analysis of standards and style guides, participants learn to adapt UX text for diverse audiences while ensuring consistency. Practical exercises and case studies enhance competencies essential for effective UX content localization in academic and professional contexts.
